Applying Wallpaper to Textured Walls
Preparing the Wall
Before you can apply wallpaper to textured walls, you must prepare the surface. This includes cleaning the wall, filling in any cracks or holes, and sanding the wall to create a smooth surface. Once the wall is properly prepared, you can begin applying the wallpaper.
Using Wallpaper Paste
When applying wallpaper to textured walls, it is important to use a wallpaper paste that is specifically designed for textured walls. This type of paste is thicker than regular wallpaper paste and is better able to adhere to uneven surfaces. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions for mixing and applying the paste.
Applying the Wallpaper

Start at the top of the wall and work your way down, using a brush to press the wallpaper into the textured areas. You may need to use a wallpaper smoother or a sponge to get the wallpaper to adhere to the wall properly. Be sure to overlap the edges of the wallpaper to ensure a secure fit.
Finishing Touches
Once the wallpaper has been applied, use a damp cloth to wipe away any excess wallpaper paste. Allow the wallpaper to dry completely before you hang any artwork or furniture. If you plan to paint the wallpaper, use a high-quality primer before applying the paint.
